It looks like another pier will be closed in West Michigan. News was released on Tuesday, August 30th, that the pier at Pere Marquette Park is now closed to pedestrians.

Earlier this week the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers started to close down the pier in Grand Haven for repairs. Those repairs will take about a year.

Now, the Pere Marquette pier is also being closed for needed repairs. From the City of Muskegon (as posted on the Muskegon Local Facebook page):

"There are areas in the concrete that are unsafe to pedestrians and need to be repaired. We hope to have the repairs made this fall. Signs will be posted this week"
