‘Pixels’ Trailer Imagines World Under Assault From ’80s Video Games [Video]

The first trailer from the upcoming Adam Sandler comedy Pixels has been released and it's an explosion of '80s pop culture.

It imagines a world where aliens have misunderstood our communication to them, and instead attack us with giant Donkey Kong and Pac Man creatures.

Stupid? Yup, but I'll be first in line.

An even bigger stretch the film wants us to swallow is Kevin James of King of Queens as the President, and Jenna (Jane Krakowski) from 30 Rock as the First Lady.

As Yakov Smirnoff might say: "What a country!"

The movie, which was filmed with Toronto doubling as New York, will be released in June.

It also features Sean Bean and Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones, and Josh Gad, the voice of Olaf in Frozen.
