Police Searching Livonia Park in Connection With the Disappearance of Danielle Stislicki

UPDATE: Police have ended their search at Hines Park and have not found anything related to the case. ClickOnDetroit reports that no further searches of the park are planned.

The Farmington Hills Police Department issued a statement Wednesday morning informing the public that they are searching Hines Park in Livonia for clues in connection with the disappearance of Danielle Stislicki.

In the statement, Farmington Hills Police Chief Chuck Nebus said that they believe that Danielle was the victim of a crime, and that police believe that she is "not alive".

Law enforcement authorities have expressed since day one that Danielle Stislicki was the victim of a crime. The facts of the case lead us to believe that she is not alive. Several air, land, and water searches have been conducted at various places throughout the investigation. Hines Park is being searched as the result of a recent Livonia and Farmington Hills join investigation. This investigation has led to criminal charges against Floyd Galloway, 30-year-old resident of Berkley. Because the Livonia incident occurred in Hines Park, it is a location that requires searching. There is no specific information or evidence that leads us to believe that Danielle's remains are in the park.

Police have asked both the public and the media to stay away from the area, as it could be distracting to the searchers and canines in the park.

Police also ask that the public remain alert for evidence in this case at any location, especially outdoors. Police are still searching specifically for the sky blue three-in-one Eddie Bauer jacket, black zip-up shirt, blue jeans and burgundy boots that Stislicki was last seen wearing. Police say that these items could be concealed inside a bag, container, suitcase or bedding. Police are also looking for a brown and tan striped comforter that could be important to the case.

Stislicki was last seen around 5 p.m. on December 2, 2016 after leaving her job at Met Life in Southfield, Mich.
