A man's body was recovered from the Grand River and the Grand Rapids Police Department have yet to be able to identify the man.

According to WZZM, a man's body was found by a fisherman in the Grand River on Sunday, November 11.  The body was spotted near the 6th Street Dam. Officers and Fire River Ruscue Units we on the scene to recover the body which was diseased and well beyond medical efforts.

Police have the Kent County Medical Examiner's team working diligently on discovering the man's identification. Medical examiners are using dental records to locate the man's identity. A full examination has been performed and there does not appear to be any signs of foul play.

Police provided a description of the man saying he was between the ages of 20 and 40 years old, his head is shaved. He has an average build and is about 6 feet tall. No identifying tattoos or piercings we found on the body.
