Queen and Adam Lambert Tease Major Announcement
According to ABC News Radio, Queen and Lambert have scheduled "some sort of event" set to take place at Madison Square Garden the morning of March 6, "with a promise of more details to follow." It's vague enough to mean just about anything, but given that Lambert has served as Queen's frontman in the recent past, it does seem safe to assume they're gearing up to tour together, with the MSG event to serve as a suitably splashy announcement.
As ABC News Radio's report points out, Lambert and Queen have performed together since 2009, although they've never officially toured the U.S. -- and since May said the band had been looking at "an amazing working list of dates" for their next venture out on the road, they should have plenty to share when they take the podium at the Garden.
Of course, as Queen fans know, May has also been teasing the unveiling of some previously unheard Queen recordings with deceased frontman Freddie Mercury, as well as the official release of the demos Mercury recorded with Michael Jackson in the early-'80s. "Working hard on this material now. So many things," wrote May in January, "but everything will unfold."
