Bellisio Foods, Inc. out of Jackson, Ohio is recalling roughly 12,180 pounds of a Thai Kitchen Chicken Pad Thai frozen entrée product due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).  The product contains soy protein isolate, a known allergen, and that product is not listed on the label.

The following product is subject to recall:

  • 10-oz. packages, 8 per case of “Thai Kitchen Chicken Pad Thai frozen entrée with “SELL BY SEP 30 15” date and case code “xxxx09841078” or with “SELL BY OCT 17 15” date and case code “xxxx11541078”

The product also bears the establishment number “P-18297” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The Pad Thai was distributed to retail stores nationwide.

FSIS and the company haven't received any reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products, and say that anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.
