I heard estimates of 4,000 people walking around downtown trying to catch them all! Here's a video of the attendees.

In it's first week of release Apple said it broke the record for most downloads in a week. While apparently hard numbers aren't released by Apple or Google ..

SurveyMonkey Intelligence is confident enough to come up with figures - and their latest for Pokemon Go is that there have been more than 30 million downloads in the US.

That's only the United States! That's not counting the rest of the world! That's a lot of people looking for pikachu!

Oh ... since we're talking about it anyway. If you're tired of standing in front of Bigby in downtown, here's a (kinda cheating) way to find Pokemon near you.

My wife and I have used it to track down bulbasaur, pikachu, and even a Wartortle.

Warning: It's only as reliable as the PokemonGo servers are ... so ... your mileage will vary. I linked it targeted to downtown, use the search bar for your neighborhood. It even works on your phone. Neat right?

You'll have at best 15 minutes to get to where the pokemon are before they go away. So good luck.
