Last night’s Mötley Crüe show reminded me of lead-singer Vince Neil’s stint on the TV show “The Surreal Life”.

“The Surreal Life” was about a bunch of random celebrities housed in country singer Glen Campbell’s old mansion and the hilarity (and drama) that unfolded.

The show first premiered on The WB in 2003 and Vince was on the first season along with MC Hammer, Corey Feldman,  Emmanuel Lewis and some other minor celebrities of the time.

Now, I never watched “The Real World” but I can definitely get behind “The Surreal Life”.

You put a bunch of high strung celebrities and has-beens together and of course crazy things are going to happen!

I remember the time actor and fellow Michigander Verne Troyer a.k.a. Mini Me was so drunk that he peed in the corner of the mansion’s gym.

I also remember watching Christopher Knight and original America’s Next Top Model winner Adrianne Curry’s budding romance that eventually led to their marriage and the spinoff “My Fair Brady”.

After two seasons on the WB, “The Surreal Life” moved to VH1 in 2004 where it went on to air for four more seasons.

Subsequent cast members include rapper Vanilla Ice, Tammy Faye Bakker, Erik Estrada, Charo, porn star Ron Jeremy, video vixen Tawny Kitaen, Sherman Hemsley, and Mrs. Brady- Florence Henderson.

The list goes on and on!

“The Surreal Life” was great TV- I wish they’d bring it back!
