On Sunday is the third annual Grand Rapids Museums Free 4 All.

All the museums are offering free admission, among other activities.

The theme is "Four" for Sunday, May 4, with all four major downtown Grand Rapids museums offer free admission from noon until 5 p.m..

And because all four are within blocks of each other, if you use your time wisely you might be able to hit them all in one afternoon.

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential MuseumGrand Rapids Art MuseumGrand Rapids Children's Museum (GRAM) and Grand Rapids Public Museum are all a part of the event, which is sponsored by Amway.

To make it easier to get around, trolleys will get you to and from each location, and there are family-friendly activities planned, complete with prize giveaways outside on the Wege Plaza, adjacent to Grand Rapids Art Museum, 101 Monroe Center NW.

"Grand Rapids is fortunate to have four wonderful museums within close proximity to each other, but not everyone in our community can enjoy them due to financial constraints,” said David Madiol, Amway's West Michigan community relations Manager. “Amway is proud to sponsor Museums Free 4 All so everyone has the opportunity to share in these local treasures.”

This year, guests can receive a passport at any of the four museums downtown or at the Amway tent located at the GRAM’s Wege Plaza. Each museum will have a stamp or sticker to mark off a visit to their corresponding institution. Guests who have certain locations stamped (or all locations stamped) can show their passport to receive prizes in the Amway tent.

Prizes will vary based on the number of stickers collected throughout the day.
