Are you ready to rock like it's 1982?

Rick Springfield and Loverboy have announced a co-headlining summer/fall tour that will kick off August 29th in Atlanta, Georgia. The Romantics will also be featured on some dates.

"It's like wall-to-wall hits, so it should be a great show for people to see," says Springfield, who will release what he’s describing as a “country leaning” album before the tour kicks off. “I've been listening to a lot of country," he says. "Basically, that's where pop music has gone, mostly, to Nashville.”

In fact, Springfield has a lot going on this summer. In addition to the tour and album, he’ll be featured in the second season of HBO’s “True Detective,” and also plays Meryl Streep’s boyfriend in the movie “Ricki and the Flash” in August.
