Ritz Crackers Recalled Because of Possible Salmonella

After finding out an ingredient in their crackers contains salmonella, the company of Ritz Crackers is recalling a variety of their crackers containing cheese.

Mondeléz International announced the recall in a news release, over the weekend stating that the supplier of their whey powder recalled their product due to salmonella being found. No illnesses have been reported but as a safety precaution, the crackers are being recalled.

The recall spans across the U.S., Puerto Rico & U.S. Virgin Islands and affect multiple Ritz cracker sandwiches & Ritz Bits.

According to the CDC, people with Salmonella show signs of diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps. It's especially dangerous to babies, the elderly and people with weak immune systems.
