Roger Waters has never been one to bite his tongue when it comes to politics, so naturally, he had some choice words for Bon Jovi ahead of their show in Tel Aviv, Israel.

He penned an open letter to the band listing Palestinians who have died at the hands of Israelis. "Often in the past I have written detailed, and sometimes even persuasive, letters to colleagues in the music business, encouraging them not to give succor to the Israeli government’s apartheid policies by performing in Israel," Waters writes in his letter for Salon.

"The dead can't remind you of the crimes you've ignored. But, lest we forget, 'To stand by silent and indifferent is the greatest crime of all.'"

Bon Jovi did respond to Waters, saying he had heard of Water's boycott campaign, but it 'didn't interest him.', and they went ahead with their October 3rd show in Tel Aviv.

On the plus side for Jon, he recently honored 17 year-old Evan Murray during a concert in the United Arab Emirates. Murray is the New Jersey high school football player, who died after taking a hit while playing. Jon placed his number 18 on his guitar.

He said: "I heard word about Evan and as a father and as a father of football players, my heart, my prayers and my thoughts go out to the Murray family. To all the team, I wish you the best this season and keep it up guys, all right? Win one for Evan."
