If you are a fan of Goldfish crackers or have children that enjoy them, buyer beware, because some of the flavors have been recalled for potential risk of salmonella poisoning.

According to WOOD TV, Pepperidge Farm has voluntarily recalled a few varieties of their Goldfish crackers due to a risk of salmonella.

There are four varieties in the United States of Goldfish crackers the company is recalling. One of the ingredients in the crackers is whey powder that has been recalled by the manufacturer that is the culprit of the salmonella contamination.

Here are the four types of Goldfish crackers that are part of the recall:

  • Flavor Blasted Xtra Chedder
  • Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion
  • Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
  • Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

So far, Pepperidge Farm says no one has reported showing salmonella poisoning yet.

Here are a list of symptoms of salmonella poisoning:

  • Symptoms appear 12 to 24 hours of being exposed
  • Cramps, fever and diarrhea
  • Mostly healthy people recover without medical care
  • Babies and the Elderly and anyone with compromised immune systems may react more severly
