If Santa Claus were to get paid, how much would he make? The folks at Insure.com figured it out.

The good news? It's more than he made last year. The bad news? It's still not nearly enough.

Santa Claus delivers presents all around the world and expects nothing in return except for some milk and cookies. But if he earned an actual income for his hard work, the job would pay almost $140,000 this year.

According to a survey conducted by Insure.com, in which people were asked to pick his salary, Santa would get a pretty nice paycheck when he returns to the North Pole after a busy night of work. His $140,000 payday is a $2000 raise from last year.

But not everyone believes Santa should even be paid for his work. 29-percent think milk and cookies is enough compensation, but there's another 29-percent who think he should make $1.8 billion.
