Self-Serve Beer Stations For Fifth Third Ballpark or Van Andel Arena?

Being Beer City USA, Grand Rapids has a lot of beer type advantages that other sudsy places don't have!

For instance, there are all our great breweries and pubs, our=well connected beer drinking public, our great Summer Craft Beer Festival and beer technology!

You might have seen the story from Jo Jo about the The Self-Serve Beer Machine being tried out at the All Star Game in Minneapolis.

In a nutshell:

They’ve added self-service beer kiosks, where you can purchase up to 48 ounces of alcohol EVERY 15 minutes. It’s the first of its kind in Major League Baseball, and it works like this: the stadium allows fans to purchase a card for amounts of $10, $20 or $50 to use at the machine. There are four beers to choose from, and they can be bought by the ounce: Bud and Bud Light (38 cents per ounce), and Shock Top Lemon Shandy and Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale (40 cents per ounce)."

My take on this is Fifth Third Ballpark or Van Andel Arena should get one or four of these! Imagine $2 beer nights at the Grand Rapids Griffins' Friday games, or Thirsty Thursdays at the West Michigan Whitecaps!

Forty-eight ounces of beer every 15 minutes! Oh, wait, maybe that wouldn't be the best idea.
