I grew up in Sparta. All my life I wanted to be a member of KISS but as time went on, I noticed that they didn’t hire short, fat, blond guys for the band and I had an Achilles heel of not being able to play any instruments….or sing, even if if you put a gun to my head. So after graduating in the class of 89….still a virgin….I saw fit to get an internship at a radio station on my second day of classes at what was then GRJC. Wisely, I dropped the college classes soon there after that to pursue an illustrious career in broadcasting. Couldn’t have made a better choice. There is a sense of magic getting up at 3:30 in the morning that no regular job can offer I tell ya. I gave up drinking 10 years ago, in that time I snagged a trophy wife (cougar) and we now have 5 grand kids! I do call Muskegon home now….you really outta come out……but I am really excited about hitting the air with Dave right back were it all started 23 years ago…never imagined that so many people would want to listen to me when it all got started back then….honored and humbled…..thanks!

Middleville is home to me. I grew up in a large family and got my ass kicked a LOT as a kid. I went to school at Western Michigan studying communications and theology. I ran up a huge amount of debt on both schooling and credit cards while sleeping on couches I would find at the end of any given semester out on the streets of Kalamazoo. I drifted from job to job in radio since the whole dream of becoming a priest was dashed due to my heavy drinking and inability to keep my hands off women. You see me doing traffic on WZZM 13 every morning along with Lauren Stanton and Derek Francis, but I am really riding on the coat tails of the really “successful” broadcasters in West Michigan. I have a 2 year old son, Max who is already showing signs of being smarter than me which is a good thing.
