In case you missed, it, Sinead O'Connor is looking seriously glam – and frankly, a very dominatrix-flavored – on the cover of her upcoming album, "I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss."

Featured in the music web site, Pitchfork, O'Connor is barely recognizable, clutching an electric guitar while sporting a black pageboy haircut, and skintight leather (or something that looks like it),  it’s a stark departure from the shaved head and simple clothing style for which she has come to be known over the years. The album cover was shot by Donal Moloney who told Fox411 that O'Connor reached out to him recently after seeing some of his past work.

Originally dubbed “The Vishnu Room,” Sinead took her album title from the "Ban Bossy" campaign, which discourages the use of the word "bossy" in reference to women while encouraging empowerment.  “I think Sheryl’s campaign is a terribly important one,” says Sinead. “Once I was allowed the opportunity of changing the title. [I was a] very happy girl.” O'Connor's "I'm Not Bossy, I'm The Boss" arrives in stores on August 12th.

Here's a clip from the new album.
