The home that Molly Ringwald’s character, Samantha Baker, called home in “Sixteen candles” is up for sale.

The timing couldn’t be better since the movie was referenced several times, including a re-creation of the “truck scene,” in the Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart film “Central Intelligence.”

The house in Evanston, Illinois, just north of Chicago, is listed at a little under one and-a-half million dollars. The six-bedroom, four bath home has been renovated since filming of the 1984 movie. A realtor with the agency listing the home says a number of people who have checked it out just wanted to see the place where their favorite movie was set.

There are six bedrooms and four full baths. As you enter the foyer, you will picture yourself sharing dinner parties in the amazing dining room and the elegant living room with a wood burning fireplace and gorgeous plastic cast molding. The new kitchen includes a breakfast room and overlooks the lush backyard and terrace. Al fresco dining is set for the outdoor kitchen and wood burning stone fireplace. The veranda has comfy seating in front of the outside television and an expansive area with a large patio table.

It says nothing of the bunk beds that Long Duk Dong shared with Samantha.
