Dress in your favorite '80s garb and come on out and skate your way into the Valentine's/President's Day weekend as Downtown Grand Rapids' Valent-ICE Festival kicks off.

I think I'll go as wussy Rob Lowe from "Youngblood."

Break out your neon jackets and hair scrunchies. As Downtown Grand Rapids presents '80s-themed ice skating at Rosa Parks Circle with a disc jockey, free hot chocolate and a costume contest with prizes for the best dressed.

In addition, more than 25 ice sculptures will be placed on locations around downtown to check out.

Saturday features free family ice skating and the unveiling of a huge 3000-pound ice sculpture by Randy Finch of IceGuru.
