Some People Don’t Want Phil Collins to Come Out of Retirement [Video]

We've entered an era it seems where if people don't like something, they want to stop even those people who DO love it from enjoying it. How painfully sad.

A case in point is this: A new online petition has been started on Change.org in attempts to stop Phil Collins from coming out of retirement and recording new music.

The petition, labeled “Phil Collins Must Be Stopped,” is addressed to the United Nations, so you know they're serious.

As of yesterday, the petition pulled in almost 1,500 signatures so far and plenty of comments, including "future generations should be able to live Phil Collins free,” and “there is far too much suffering in the world as it is. This must be stopped.”

So far, Phil Collins hasn't responded. And why should he? The man put up some incredible albums both solo and with Genesis in the '80s. His work speaks for itself. As far for the knuckleheads who put this petition up, let's see you come up with a song like this:
