Will State finally be able to stop Oregon's powerful offense? Will Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh finally get his first win? And what about Ferris State?

The answers, my friend, lie within.

Oregon at Michigan State -- Saturday, 8pm

The seventh ranked Ducks like to pile up massive amounts of points and Spartan fans maybe wary after Western Michigan moved the ball at will against fifth ranked State. But fear not, Sparty. Western is a very good football team, and the Spartans will be sky high to take on Oregon in a nationally televised game. MSU 34, Oregon 30.

Oregon State at Michigan -- Saturday, noon.

While the nationally ranked powers from both states go at in East Lansing, their lesser known siblings will be duking it out in Ann Arbor. Michigan looked weak on offense in their 24-17 loss to Utah last week, but we knew that going in. What we also knew going in is that Michigan's defense is tough, especially at home where they like to take the ball away. Jim Harbaugh gets in the win column this week, bank on it. Michigan 21, Oregon State 10.

Western Michigan at Georgia Southern -- Saturday, 6pm

What may seem on paper to be a cakewalk for Western will not be that easy. Southern is a former FCS power that recently moved up to the FBS, and although they've struggled, it's not easy to stop that triple option offense. Western's a good team, and this will be a good test to see how well they'll play on the road. WMU 30, Ga. Southern 20.

Monmouth at Central Michigan -- Saturday, 3pm

This was scheduled to be an easy win, and it will be, as Central gets John Bonamego his first win as head coach. CMU 27 Monmouth 10.

Grand Valley at Ohio Dominican -- Saturday 12:30pm

The Lakers will find out what their made of early this season with a road trip to take on the defending GLIAC champion Panthers. Last year's game was close and controversial, with the Panthers rallying late to win following a call the officials later admitted they got wrong. Expect this year's game to be equally tight. ODU 27, GVSU 25

Northwood at Ferris State -- Saturday, 7pm

The Bulldogs finally open their season against an improving league opponent in the Timberwolves, who won last week 20-7 over Northern Michigan. With Jason VanderLaan returning as quarterback, the Bullbogs expect to light up the scoreboard, as ferris seeks its 16th straight regular season win going back to 2013. Ferris 33, Northwood 20

I was 4-1 picking games last week, missing only Hope's loss against Monmouth (it's D-3, give me a break!), and I was surprisingly close to getting the scores right in both the State and Michigan games, so I am the king of all college prognosticators. Sort of.
