Being that Stevie Wonder has been in the business for decades now, it’s safe to say he’s earned a top-notch tribute.

When the buzz of a tribute concert for the Saginaw native hit the surface, his only request was for it to be a “wide spectrum” that reflected his music stylings throughout his career.

“Stevie Wonder: Songs in the Key of Life—An All-Star Grammy Salute,” airing 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST tonight on CBS, will feature star-studded performances from Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Pharrell, Annie Lennox, Ed Sheeran, Tony Bennett, Babyface and Andrea Bocelli.

“I feel thankful to God, first and foremost, allowing me to enjoy this 'smell the roses' kind of thing,” he told The Associated Press about the special.

“All I ever wanted to do was music, and all I've ever asked, as I've gotten to know and discover the world more, is that God would use me in any way to encourage and inspire love and inspire people to bring and give love to each other. I've always asked to be able to speak and write about injustice and to do it in a way that would encourage people to make things better for everyone.”

Being that Wonder hasn’t released an album in just about a decade, this tribute will serve as a kick off to the countdown of his new album, “Through the Eyes of Wonder,” which is set to be released by September.

Wonder hopes to “show what I’ve seen and I’m hoping it will encourage people to move to the next level that will give us a place of positivity.”

Don’t worry, Stevie, no doubt about that one.
