Sword Fighting in Rosa Parks Circle

I mean ... that's what lured me to fencing in high school. The Olympics are in full swing, and who knew we had a fencing school right here in Grand Rapids.

Wood TV did a segment at Rosa Parks Circle about my high school phys ed of choice. Seriously, I took 4 years ... FOUR years of fencing. I could have taken 2 years of fencing and 2 years of golf ... or soccer ... or gymnastics. However, in the end. I went 4 years of fencing.

Looking back I wish I would have taken maybe a year of golf, that way I could use something I learned in high school. I haven't used my fencing skills since I graduated. Then ... I had a lot of fun fencing, even if I was really bad at it.

Looks like I could knock the rust off my parry and riposte skills at the GR school. For adults it starts out $80 for 6 weeks.
