Let's take a fun and interesting look back at Grand Rapids history -- from A to Z! Who were the movers and shakers that make Grand Rapids the city it is today?
On Saturday night, we partied with about 150,000 of you in downtown Grand Rapids for the Amway Family Fireworks! We had live music from Hey Marco!, Upstage Crew, DJ Composition, and the 338th Army Band! Tons of food, drink, and fun for the whole family at Ah-Nab-Awen Park.
Today in West Grand Rapids, hundreds of Amway volunteers converged on Steepletown Preschool to help construct a new playground for the kids! They turned the undeveloped lot at the corner of Fifth and Muskegon NW into a family-friendly safe play space.
Saturday night, July 2nd, thousands of people gathered together downtown to celebrate our Independence Day, with live music, food, fun, and a massive fireworks display! To continue the celebration, here's the entire fireworks show you can enjoy for your Fourth!
The Amway Family Fireworks have kicked off in Downtown Grand Rapids in spectacular fashion!
We had a great kick off courtesy of our friends from Amway, as well as a Salute The Troops tribute from the folks at Spartan Nash!
Take a look at this picture of Van Andel Arena from a week ago. Notice anything unusual about it? The doors, the statute of Jay Van Andel, the sidewalk are all there. But there's something else that has been there that isn't now. What is it?
Well, I've never been here... but still, it's the only 5 Star Restaurant in Michigan... and it's Close. The 1913 in the Amway Grand Plaza will be closing for Good on April 26th. The Amway is still a fantastic Hotel and we should be proud to have it in downtown Grand Rapids...
