After almost a decade in business, another Lansing establishment has closed its doors. Are they closed for good?

Michael Farah, owner three different bars in Grand Rapids, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for tax fraud. WOOD-TV8 reports that 70-year-old Michael Farah, and his son Brian will both be spending time in federal prison for hiding sales from their three bars - Farah's, Drake's, and Kuzzin's - by deleting sales records...

I cannot believe "The Dukes of Hazzard" CBS-TV show is already 35 years old! It aired from January 1979 to February 1985. Oh, how many Friday nights I would watch this show. It made me laugh, and was a great escape from the world as a kid to start those weekends.

Today is YEEEEE HAAAAWWWWW.... "The Dukes of Hazzard" day! The show, starring John Schneider and Tom Wopat, debuted on this day in 1979. Just a pair of good 'ol boys. This was probably my favorite show when I was a kid, ... and it might still be! Good news (as Roscoe would say):  All seven seasons are available on DVD!
