Well, Greenville had the lowest gas prices in the nation. Had, but not anymore. In a surprising move, the oil companies realized that Michigan had some of the lowest -- if not THE -- lowest gas per gallon price in the nation. So, they stopped that crap in a big hurry.

Not really a shock to us here in Michigan, but we have some of the most expensive gas in the US. In May the average price of a gallon of gas in Michigan is $3.78. That puts us at

Yep, the price of gas is going up. And even though here in Grand Rapids it's pretty high ($3.69 is the price of choice around town right now) it's only going to get worse. The "experts" all say we will be at $4 a gallon by Memorial Day, and $5 a gallon this summer! Yes! Rapid here I come!

The Stock markets took a real hit on Monday and people are worried .  But there is some good news  out there today.  WZZM 13 News talked with local analyst Patrick DeHaan from GasBuddy.com. He says One benefit of the concerns about the United States' economy will soon be seen at the gas pumps...

Yes! It's been SO long since we had a good old fashioned "no rhyme nor reason" 40 cent a gallon gas hike! I think I'm going to go sit by my favorite gas station and wait for the price to go up....AGAIN!

The Department of Energy in cooperation with the International Energy Administration is opening strategic stockpiles for a non-disruption event. What does that mean for you and I, the home consumer? It means the price of gas should be coming down soon!
