The annual Ringling Brothers circus at Van Andel Arena. A fixture in the are for years, the circus takes over the arena for the next week or so. Unlike a concert or a hockey game. where equipment or support is trucked or bussed in, the animals arrive mostly by train. Hence the animal walk from the train station through the streets of Downtown Grand Rapids is a pretty cool event!
