Anything can happen at a live show, including pieces of the set falling apart-- which is what happened at Pat Oswalt's LaughFest performance on Friday night.

Lavell Crawford has canceled his Gilda's LaughFest appearance for Wednesday night because of a movie he's currently filming, festival officials announced this morning. The cancellation of his appearance at Fountain Street Church is because of a change in the production schedule for the film "Meet the Blacks."

"I'm so cold. It's (blanking) cold here!," Iliza Shlesinger said Friday night at McFadden's as she launched into a 10-minute bit about how women handle the cold, which isn't well. Well, that was at least judging by how the bit ended with a group of women freezing to death after a bad group decision to forego wearing jackets.

Nick Thune's comedy is a style best probably described as having preposterous views and deadpan wit. He spoke with me for "The Jojo Show" about a variety of topics. Thune is appearing with Brody Stevens tonight and Saturday in four shows for Gilda's LaughFest in Grand Rapids.

Gilda's LaughFest 2015 kicks off in just a few weeks, organizers opened the doors to LaughFest Central on Monday. Laughfest Central serves as the hub for the 10-day festival of laughter.

It's more Gilda's LaughFest fun! Todd Barry and Rory Scovel are on the LaughFest stage at the Pyramid Scheme at 8 p.m. Friday. The performance is sold out. Nick Thune was supposed to join them. But Nick got called away to shoot a TV show pilot, so he has been replaced by Ted Alexandro.

Tuesday morning the Grand Rapids Art Museum was a sea of yellow as folks gathered for the announcement of 2014's Laughfest lineup.
