Just when you thought comedy icon Bill Cosby had retired, in spite of his recent "Far from Finished" stand-up (or sit-down) special on Comedy Central, the cultural icon and pudding magnate is at it again. The 76 year-old Cosby will return to NBC decades after 'The Cosby Show' for a new original family sitcom, to both star in and produce.
Just a few weeks' time will see the late night landscape dramatically shift, as 'Late Night' host Jimmy Fallon finally takes the 'Tonight Show' throne from Jay Leno, and 'SNL' veteran Seth Meyers joins 'Late Night' in his wake. Fallon has tapped cinema icon Will Smith and Irish rockers U2 for his inaugural 'Tonight Show' gig, but who will join Seth Meyers on the couch?
Fans of Will Ferrell's Ron Burgundy return in 'Anchorman: The Legend Continues' might still count themselves surprised a sequel finally got of the ground, but could the same brand of humor land on TV? NBC wants to put a man on the moon with a new 'Anchorman'-style comedy about the 1962 space race, direct from Ferrell and director Adam McKay themselves!
'SNL' will make its 2014 debut this coming weekend with rapper Drake pulling double duty as both host and musical guest, but will cast members new and old pull focus from the Canadian performer? Find out in the first official promos from Drake's 2014 'SNL' premiere!
What, you thought Jonah Hill's third hosting gig was the 'SNL' news of the day? Nope! At long last, after a heated controversy and a nationwide search, the long-running NBC sketch comedy series has found its newest black female cast member in Upright Citizen's Brigade veteran Sasheer Zamata.
"Saturday Night Live" certainly closed out 2013 right with Jimmy Fallon as host and Justin Timberlake returning as musical guest, an even episode that saw some of the long-running NBC sketch comedy series' best ratings in years.
But will the first 2014 installment of the NBC-TV show enter on the same high note?
Alec Baldwin's post '30 Rock' future has always proved something of a mystery, with persistent rumors of a political career as the actor continues his run on Broadway's 'Orphans,' but could his own late-night talk show be in the works? Sigh, was there ever a time in our lives where the various hosts of late night TV weren't in one feud or another? If there was, it probably wasn't while 'The Tonight Show's Jay Leno was around. Hear more about the bitter rivalry inside!
While most would agree that 'SNL's' most recent turn with 'Django Unchained' star Jamie Foxx hosting and musical guest Ne-Yo stayed mostly level, it's no secret that a portion of 'SNL' viewers tune in to see which sketches can make the performers break.
