Michigan recently saw its first snowstorm of the year, but this next round of snow could put the first round to shame.

You know it's going to be bad when the symbol of Christmas in Frankenmuth, Michigan decides to close its doors.

A winter storm is heading for the Mitten State tonight and Michigan State Police are urging residents to be prepared.

The Michigan State Police have wrapped up their investigation of the 193-car pileup on I-94 in January and are now issuing tickets.

The Weather Channel's Jim Cantore was in Plymouth, Mass., over the weekend to report on the snowstorm. He got way too excited about some lightning during the storm, known as thundersnow.

The massive multi-vehicle crash that shut down a five-mile stretch of I-94 near Galeburg on Friday continues to keep the interstate closed. Authorities with Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Transportation report that 193 vehicles were involved, which includes 76 semis and 117 passenger cars and SUVs, according to WZZM-13. Both directions of I-94 are closed between Kalamazoo and Battle Creek because of a multi-vehicle crash involving semi-trucks. The interstate is closed between Galesburg and Climax, WZZM-13, Michigan State Police and the Michigan Department of Transportation report.
