We Michiganders know that we have some amazing breweries right here in the Mitten State. Heck, everyone in West Michigan knows that we have the best breweries, hands down (suck it, Asheville). And now, USA Today has bestowed us with another title, honoring our awesome beer.
WZZM is freshening their on air look. No they aren't changing anchors or anything like that (That's right--Dave Kachele's gig is safe--for now ;) ) BUT they are changing the on air look of their graphics and newscasts. Yay!
The string of great national press Grand Rapids has been getting over the past couple of years may have it a speed bump. After the New York Times gave Grand Rapids a glowing review for the new Downtown Market opening next year, everyone around town has been beaming with pride. The USA Today goes and rains on our parade.

For the most part I found most of the Super Bowl Commercials as Blah, Blah, Blah. However there were a few good ones. Here are the USA Today Ad Meter winners.
For the first time, two ads tied for the top Super Bowl commercial as selected by consumer panelists rating the ads as they aired in the game for USA TODAY'S 23rd annual exclusive Ad Meter. Both starred dogs acting like, well, people.
