The one thing most parents want this summer is to keep their kids happy and occupied so they won’t ruin their days off complaining. And what better way to entertain your children than with an exciting water slide.

There are lots of water slides around the country, but thanks to the Travel Channel, we now know the best and possibly the most exciting ones out there.

Among the insane slides you don’t want to miss:

  • “Beach Blasters” – Hawaiian Falls Waterpark, Texas – The world’s only side-by-side dueling raft slides, which allow sliders to race each other to the bottom. And did we mention the 60-foot drop at the top.
  • “Breakers Plunge” – Soak City Waterpark, Minnesota – America’s tallest twin body slide, “Breakers Plunge” features duel 90-foot, high-speed free-fall slides, that will have guests traveling 40 miles per hour and reaching the bottom in seven seconds.
  • “Dive Bomber” - Six Flags White Water, Georgia - This exciting slide features a ten-story plunge that sends riders on a 90-degree, 100-foot descent at 40 miles per hours.
  • “Maximum Velocity” – Wet ‘N’ Wild, Arizona – At 830 feet long it’s the fourth-longest water coaster in the world with six steep drops, six peaks and six-tunnels, plus two 180-degree turns.
  • “The Rattler” – Wet ‘N’ Wild, Nevada – This slide features four-person rafts, as well as 360-feet of twists, turns and “rattles” that shake the rafts back and forth.
  • “Royal Flush” – BSR Cable Park, Texas – Featuring three 120-foot long slides, the tallest being six stories high with an eight-foot ram, riders are eventually launched through the air where they can do whatever aerial maneuvers they want before splashing into a lake below.
  • “Scorpion’s Tail” – Noah’s Ark, Wisconsin – The country’s first nearly vertical slide loop, this slide sits 10 stories high, and drops riders more than 50 feet per second.
