Motor City Madman Ted Nugent has set July 8 as the release date for 'Shutup&Jam!,' his first studio record since 2007's 'Love Grenade.'

Nugent is joined on the album by his long-time cohorts Derek St. Holmes, bassist Greg Smith and drummer Mick Brown. As previously reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, Sammy Hagar makes a guest appearance on the record, contributing vocals to the track 'She's Gone.'

“When I first heard Ted's demo of this song, I immediately responded with ‘I'm in,’” Hagar said in a press release. “Ted's ripping the guitar like the days of old…very inspiring to sing to a track like that—old-school blues riff, hard edged rock 'n roll on fire!!!”

As he prepares for the record's release, the guitar slinger is planning on taking to the road. Ted Nugent is slated to perform at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 7 alongside the likes of Black Sabbath, Billy Idol, Megadeth and Alice Cooper before kicking off his American tour on July 3 in Wichita Falls, Tx.

Nugent has sold more than 40 million records and performed more than a reported 6,500 shows in a career that has spanned five decades.
