A decent salary is the best reason to take a job, but sometimes it's the little extras can make the difference in a company getting quality employees.

Days off to enjoy the great outdoors, one year of paid maternity leave and even free shipping for those who need to deliver breast milk (???) top this year's list of the best employees perks.

We’ve been hearing a lot lately about companies who offer their employees amazing perks to help lure new workers, and keep the ones they already have. And while most folks are lucky if they get the perk of a free half-day Friday in the summer, some companies really go out of their way to one up each other, and it’s easy to see why.

According to Glassdoor, 57% of people say benefits and perks are their top considerations when taking a new job, although most people aren’t looking for free lunches. The site reports that the most sought-after benefits are still the most basic ones, healthcare, paid time off and paid sick days.

Still, some company perks really are awesome and unique, and Glassdoor has come out with a list of some of the best ones offered.

  • Accenture - Pays for gender reassignment for their employees as part of their commitment to LGBTQ rights and diversity.
  • Airbnb - A $2,000 annual stipend to travel and stay in an Airbnb listing anywhere in the world.
  • Burton - Season ski passes and "snow days" to hit the slopes after a big snowfall.
  • Facebook - Provides $4,000 in "Baby Cash" to employees with a newborn.
  • Google - Provides the surviving spouse or partner of a deceased employee 50 percent of their salary for the next ten years.
  • Netflix - Not only do they offer one paid year of maternity and paternity leave to new parents, they also allow parents to return part-time or full-time and take time off as needed throughout the year.
  • REI - Two paid "Yay Days," per year to enjoy their favorite outside activity.
  • Salesforce - Six days of paid volunteer time off a year, plus $1,000 a year to donate to a charity of their choice.
  • Spotify - Six months of paid parental leave, plus one month of flexible work options for returning parents. The company also covers costs for egg freezing and fertility assistance.
  • Twillo - Employees are offered a Kindle plus $30 a month to purchase books.
  • Twitter - Three catered meals a day, on-site acupuncture and improv classes.
  • Walt Disney Company - Free admission to its parks for employees and their friends and family, as well as discounts on hotels and merchandise.
  • Zillow - Pays for employees who are traveling to ship their breast milk. (I had to look this up -- if you need to travel for business, and you're a nursing mom, they will pay to ship your breast milk back home for dad to feed the baby)
