The 22nd annual ESPYs were on ESPN last night.

You don't even have to be a sports fan to watch and enjoy the ESPY's. Mostly they are an awards show about pop culture with a few sports awards. Wednesday night was no exception.

Best thing for non sports fans about the ESPYs is there are no stats or anything like that. A few highlights, and few awards, and alot of non sports stars mingling with sports stars. Last night it sports stars with famous models, comedians, movie actors and ESPN personalities. Stuart Scott won the Jimmy V Award, and made a moving speech. Pop star Drake was the host, and had a weird running bit all night with basketball star Blake Griffin. And even though the show had it's ups and downs, it wasn't too bad.

But nothing will compare to the year Norm MacDonald hosted. His opening to the show is still legendary. He made jokes that haven't been seen on ESPN since. Let's go back to the spring 1998 and enjoy Norm MacDonald's one and only ESPY hosting monologue.
