The Best Wine and Halloween Candy Pairings [Infographic]

Just because you’ll be spending this whole week gorging on all that Halloween candy you’ve stolen from your kids, doesn’t mean you can’t do it in style.

In fact, Vivino has come out with a chart, pairing your favorite Halloween treats with your favorite wines, so you can enjoy your candy like a kid, while still feeling like an adult.

Your favorite chocolates will likely go well with a nice red. For example, a Snickers and a Reese’s Peanut Butter cup pair well with a medium red like a Merlot or a Tempranillo, while those two, as well as M&Ms and Twix would taste nice with a bold red like a Cabernet Sauvignon.

Meanwhile, more sugary candies will likely taste nice next to a lighter white,  like Skittles, which pairs well with a Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc, or Starbursts, which is probably best with a sweeter white like a Riesling.

But according to Vivino, one candy doesn’t go well with wine at all, and that’s a Sour Patch Kid. Nothing is going to make that taste better.
