Here are all the details about the event that's equal parts fundraiser and fun!

If you have ever dreamed about skating with the Griffins this is your chance!! Saturday, Jan 21st from Noon till Sunday the 22nd at 10pm there will be non stop action on the ice in Rosa Parks Circle in downtown Grand Rapids. As the Griffins raise money for underprivileged children in the area.

Once again, The Great Skate Winterfest begins at noon Saturday and runs until 10 p.m. Sunday.

Attendees will be able to skate with Griffins players and mascots Griff and Finn starting at 10 p.m. on Saturday. Different players will rotate through until 10 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be other things going on too like a family activity tent, silent auction, winter sport demonstrations, and more! If you want more information might I recommend the official website.

Admission to this event is $2 for adults, and $1 for kids. This year skates rental is free.

Also they asked if any celebrities or personalities would like to skate and I, being a personality, am joining in on the fun. I said yes, why not sounds like a great cause.

But here's the thing. I'm from Louisiana. The only ice I've ever dealt with is usually in a cooler that holds beer while at a barbeque.

I've never been on ice skates in my life. That being said, if you feel like laughing at me, or, if you're nice, helping me up when I fall. I'll be there Sunday the 22nd from 7-8pm. It might take me a whole hour to just walk to the rink!!

Here's the highlight video from last year

Looks like so much fun. ... hmmm ... I wonder if they'll let me use the kid balance bar thing....
