Thanks to the internet, pranks abound today, including a proposed subway for Grand Rapids.  Be wary, be very, very wary.

Let's start with htis subway map for Grand Rapids, which first surfaced last year as part of someone's college project. It popped up again on Reddit as an April Fool's joke and I hate it because I wish it were real. It's well planned out and would be the greatest thing ever.

Mike Trout and other teammates of the Los Angeles Dodgers used it to embarrass player Garrett Richards talking him into being part of amarriage proposal, which intentionally went wrong. Another prank promotes Jobs for Babies, a bogus new service to help babies find their dream jobs, courtesy of Zipcruiter.

Rideshare company Lyft thought it would be funny to promote their brand by convincing Golden State Warriors center Festus Ezeli that he was cut by the team. You know… as an April Fool’s “joke.” Andre Iguodala -- who was supposedly the mastermind of it all -- was able to get Ezeli to believe that he was getting cut and then arranged to have teammates and coaches blast Ezeli with text messages offering their sympathies about the move.

When the truth was finally told, Iguodala delivered balloons and cake to Ezeli… who didn’t eat the cake, but instead threw it at his teammate. For the record, so far, Festus Ezeli is still a member of the Golden State Warriors.

In a twisted April Fool’s prank, Trader Joe’s announced they were closing. Tons of people online fell for it. Of course it did happen a day early… so yeah that was mean.

I'm still not sure whether this story about dogs flying a plane is real or not. As always I err on the side of prank, but many who e-mailed me this morning swear it's real.

Then there was Third Love, a lingerie maker that partnered with Dog Vacay, a pet sitting service, to unveil a fake line of dog brassieres. They launched a website for the Plunge Pawfect Bra. Their pitch is “pawsome,”  "a smooth lifted shape that is beautiful as a tennis ball."

Burger King is partaking in April Fools' Day with a hilarious commercial about individually sold French fries.

Keep your eyes peeled and don’t believe everything you read on the internet!
