After overhearing two guys talk about how they thought the theme from "Star Wars" was the greatest movie theme of all time, I offered up what I thought was the top five movie themes of all time, and then gave you your say on the matter.

I want to thank everyone who called in to the show this morning and added to the list. We had some great suggestions like "Jaws" (I still hear it in my head every time I go swimming in the ocean), "The Exorcist", "Ghostbusters", "The Great Escape" (a lost gem that I had forgotten about, but it is good), and "Axel F" from Beverly Hills Cop.

Here's my Top Five, please feel free to add your own in the comments.

    The Cider House Rules

You may not be familiar with this theme until it kicks in, and then you'll recognize it as the "Pure Michigan" music behind the award winning ads voiced by Tim Allen. When I hear it, I feel like I'm flying in a helicopter over a lighthouse.

    Theme from "Rudy"

Having a bad day? Skip ahead to 2:35 and let that inspirational music flow over you. After that, you can get anything done.

    "Star Wars"

This stirring John Williams composition will jar you from slumber and get you to pay attention to the script rolling over the screen telling you the Star Wars back story.

    "Rocky"

Feel the need to sprint up the Philadelphia Art Museum steps? This will get your butt in gear. The whole album is good, my college roommate used to pay it before going to class. I guess it helped his accounting skills/

"Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark"

There's something about the way this builds to a rolling crescendo that I love. John Williams is the king of writing great theme songs.
