The Most Peaceful and Stressful Sates

Okay, this first-ever state ranking of peace in the United States, the Institute for Economics came up with this. Not sure what that is, but whatever… I’m not a fan of these lists usually, but I was curious to see if Michigan Made the list… So Did We? Did Detroit Ruin us again?
The “Peace Index” defines peace as the “absence of violence” — and includes such factors as homicide rates, violent crimes, percentage of the population in jail, number of police officers and availability of guns.
Top 5 most peaceful states:
Maine
New Hampshire
Vermont
Minnesota
North Dakota
Top 5 least peaceful states:
Louisiana
Tennessee
Nevada
Florida
Alabama
Yay – we didn’t make the bad list… but then again, we didn’t make the good list either. Oh well!
