Here's a good question: What's your preference -- doughnuts or pizza?

What do you think? Both? I'm all over that.  But seriously, doughnuts and pizza have something to do with The Rapid not resting on its laurels with the successful launch of the Silver Line.

The Rapid already wants to know where and how you want to go with the next bus rapid transit (BRT) line.

Come on out for some station area planning for the Laker Line on Wednesday,
Sept. 10, or Wednesday, Sept. 24.

Depending on the day you chose, you can have a doughnut or some pizza. (What's not to like about that choice?)

The area of focus is West Fulton Street and the planning sessions will be at The Other Way Ministries, 710 W Fulton St. in Grand Rapids.

The big question is where do you want to go next?

Speaking of the Silver Line, it seems that the ridership numbers for the first week were pretty rock solid! The Rapid reports a 60 percent to 80 percent increase over last year's daily ridership along the route.

And, speaking of refreshments, come out and join Friends of Transit as they again have a kids' coloring contest and information booth at this year's Eastown Street Fair on Saturday, Sept. 13.
