As the 30th anniversary of the original "Ghostbusters" movie approaches, there is much speculation about the upcoming reboot of the franchise.

And now, thanks to the advance talk over who the director will be, there is a good chance we will see women Ghostbusters battling the giant StayPuft marshmallow man in the new movie.

Fans worried "Ghostbusters 3" will be a crappy remake of the first two.

Don't worry. It looks like it's going to be completely different! The Hollywood Reporter is claiming Paul Feig, the guy who directed Bridesmaids and The Heat is the front runner for the much anticipated reboot.

There have been no formal negotiations at this point but the site is reporting Feig wants to focus on female ghostbusters.

The original script was revised after the deal of original cast member Harold Ramis, the same time original director Ivan Reitman stepped out as director.

Another original cast member, Dan Aykroyd, has confirmed he will appear in "Ghostbusters 3." However, the third original Ghostbuster, Bill Murray, hasn't confirmed anything. Fingers crossed!

Paul Feig knows how to direct the ladies; I think this will be great.

Are you a fan of bringing in women Ghostbusters?
