A lot of people have just returned from vacation, and if they have kids there's a good chance quite a few of them were at Disney World. And while the so-called Happiest Place on Earth may have been a good time, it’s not all fun and games for everyone, and it does hold some deep secrets about what goes on behind the scenes at the park.

Most of these are problems you would expect at any park. Except number one, which is a big EEEWWWWW!!!!

According to the New York Post, the problems include:

  • Disney = Cemetery - Believe it or not, some grieving relatives have tried to use Disney as a final resting place for the dead. In one case, a family’s deceased child loved the Haunted Mansion so much they tried to spread the child’s ashes during the ride, but it happened during the 9/11 Anthrax scare and they were caught on camera, the ride was shut down and everyone had to be evacuated.
  • Disney World characters get sued. A lot. - Over the years several Disney characters have been taken to court, including Donald Duck, who allegedly acted inappropriately at Epcot, and Winnie the Pooh, who allegedly struck a child. The Winnie case even had Winnie coming to court in costume. The lovable bear won.
  • Not everyone is happy at Disney - Whether it's the crowds, the cost, or misbehaving kids, Disney is often a hotbed for family disputes.
  • The Costumes Are Hot - It's lucky those costumes have a smile permanently affixed to the character’s face because the people inside likely aren't happy. Those costumes can get extremely hot especially in the Florida sun with some costumes topping 130-degrees inside. Over the years the park has added some ventilation, and are even testing out inside the four air-conditioning systems.
  • A lot of people get sick at the park – Whether its too much junk food, or rides that move too fast, or a combination of both, working on the custodial staff isn't pretty when you have to clean up a lot of vomit. In fact, for one ride, Rocket Rods, the staff had 36 cleanups in one day. Lucky for them the ride no longer exists.
  • Secrets in the water - If you ever wondered why the water in Disney's green, it's not some kind of algae, the park actually dyes it that color. But what's more interesting, is that every few years they drain the river and what they find is pretty unbelievable, everything from wheelchairs, large strollers, cameras and even mechanized scooters.
