There’s no denying it: Weird Al Yankovic is the king of the summer.

The parody artist -- who’s almost four decades deep into the music biz -- shook up the scene by releasing eight videos in eight days, launching his latest album, “Mandatory Fun,” to number one on the Billboard album chart. His first time ever.

So it's time for Weird Al to take it to the next level, and you can sign on to help!

There’s only one thing left to do -- and that’s play the Super Bowl Halftime Show. That’s why fans have created a petition at Change.org to have Al considered for the Super Bowl XLIX show in 2015.

The petition suggests that the artists he’s parodying could also join him on stage -- adding even more star power -- AND his act would be a welcome change and draw a wider audience of fans that usually would tune out during the halftime show.

Hey -- it’s better than seeing a rapidly aging Madonna again, right?

And if he does this song, it will mark the first time Grammar was taught at the Super Bowl!!

Should the Super Bowl halftime show allow parody artists?

Do you see the appeal of a Weird Al performance? Or… would you tune out during halftime for something else?

What Weird Al parody song instantly takes you back to your younger days?
