Most of them are TV commercials.

Shows come and go, but sometimes the best part of the TV watching experience are the commercials. Some these days are funny and stereotypical and the truth.

Here are my three favs these days.

First, I just have to preface this by saying I love Golden Corral. Not only because I can fill up on yummy food, but it's all yummy. AND reasonably priced.

So, when they started promoting their early bird special for seniors, I had to laugh because it's spot on. It's weekdays from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Really. Some days, I don't even eat breakfast until 2 in the afternoon, let alone dinner.

Here's the ad:

Next up is Yoplait and its commercial using the song "Peaches" from the group The Presidents of the United States of America.

I always think it's interesting when 15- to  20-year-old songs get used for commercials. It's like the band said, "Oh, OK, we need the money; use the song"

Here it is:

And, finally: Captain Obvious, from the Hotels.com spot. Best line of the year in advertising so far? "Hotels.com would have mentioned the finger." Classic!
