Remember when video cameras were first available and you would tape your friends doing all sorts of stuff, like playing with their rock band at Festival of the Arts?

Here's a trip in the way back machine to 1983 to watch a band called 'Nice Lawn' perform on the Calder Stage.

The thing about those early days of video taping, is your friends didn't really know how to react when on camera, so they do stuff like make faces or just stare at the camera while smoking, and that's exactly what the band members do prior to hitting the stage.

As for the band, I would describe their music as New Wave meets punk. Kind of. Maybe some of these guys were your friends. The band consisted of Barry Crawford, Martin Driver, Gary Noftdurft and Peter Hines.

Also, at the beginning you can hear some stage announcements from the emcees, who were probably some old school DJs from local radio stations, but I don't recognize them, maybe you can...
