“To Newtown, With Love” A Classic Hits 98.7 WFGR Community Effort For Sandy Hook Elementary School

On December 14th, Newtown, Connecticut suffered a tragedy that shook the community and our nation to the core.  Many people around the country have posted their condolences on social media websites.  In addition to showing support online, there are several ways to offer your condolences, sympathy, message of hope, or support to the families and the victims of Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Send Cards and Letters to Sandy Hook Elementary School

We will be collecting letters and cards to be collectively sent to Sandy Hook Elementary School.  We are calling this project "To Newtown, With Love."  We’ll be collecting the letters and cards until December 31, 2012.

United Way of Western Connecticut has set up the Sandy Hook School Support Fund to provide families affected by the shooting with assistance and myriad services.

Additionally, the Newton Memorial Fund has been set up to provide financial relief, including funeral expenses, to the families of those who lost loved ones.
