We may not get the return of Hugo Weaving's Red Skull for the upcoming sequel 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier,' but it looks like we will see the return of his sidekick, played by Toby Jones.

Sidekick, shmidekick -- everyone knows Toby Jones' Armin Zola was the real brains of the Red Skull operation in 'Captain America,' and it looks like he'll be back for the sequel. In an interview with HeyUGuys, Jones says he will return to reprise the role of Zola, who likely survived the events of the first film.

The only other stars from the first film who have been confirmed to return for the sequel are Chris Evans, reprising his role as Cap, and Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky Barnes. Hugo Weaving recently announced that he had no desire to return for a sequel.

Armin Zola's character is a genetic engineer from the comics who made clones and other genetic creations for Hitler. To survive World War II, Zola captured his mental self and placed it in a robot, ensuring his survival. In the first film you can briefly spot Zola's designs for this robot, meaning we might see Toby Jones return in mechanical form.

The sequel will also star Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, and Samuel L. Jackson, reprising their roles from 'The Avengers,' Anthony Mackie as Falcon, and Frank Grillo as the villain Crossbones. The film hits theaters on April 4, 2014.
