Today Is Free Donut Day In West Michigan!

All I can think is Homer Simpson is rolling over in his beer drenched grave. Can't you hear a "Mmmmmm...Donnnuuttss...aaarrggghhh" Coming from his mouth? I'm drooling just thinking about it. Friday is "National Donut Day" and donut shops around the area are celebrating! Yum!

The best deal, in my opinion, is at Krispy Kreme. My Favorite. It's simple, stop into Krispy Kreme on the Beltline, and get a free donut. No purchase necessary. How can you beat that?

Next is Dunkin Donuts. Buy any beverage, and get a free donut. Not as good, but still a great deal!

According to Wikipedia, "National Doughnut Day started in 1938 as a fund raiser for Chicago's The Salvation Army. Their goal was to help the needy during the Great Depression, and to honor The Salvation Army "Lassies" of World War I, who served doughnuts to soldiers." So a donation to the SA would be order today, too. It's money you are saving on the deals anyway, so....
