Michigan State University released a series of inspirational videos called 'The Will to Make a Difference'. Tom's is pretty awesome.

Michigan State University men’s head basketball coach Tom Izzo has been building teams of smart, strong, talented young men for more than 20 years. The Basketball Hall of Fame member helps players learn lessons that begin on the court and carry into the rest of their lives.

When I was probably 10 years old or so, my parents bought a basketball goal for me to put in the front yard. I imagined myself to be the next Magic Johnson or Larry Bird. However, I gave that up after a while, though I got pretty good at horse.

I guess I didn't have a coach like Izzo giving me all of these wise words. That not only apply to basketball but real life.

I've heard that in any job talent will get you in, but practice and persistence will help you succeed.

This saying isn't anything new, in fact, oddly enough at the start of every week I put a little inspirational quote on my desk. This weeks quote comes from the tv show Suits and it goes "The only time success comes before work is in the dictionary."
